Burundi: Since when is President Museveni considered by Burundians as the father of the Nation?
The question is specifically addressed to President Evariste Ndayishimiye who said it, in an approximate English, to the Ugandan president. She is also addressed to any Burundian who heard these sentences of the mouth of Evariste Ndayishimye, who probably had the goose bumps, but who took the option to shut up, when Ndayishimiye is at the point of selling our country at any passing.
The extract from President Evarist Ndayishimiye, who was in front of the Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, who had just been invested for a sixth term at the head of his country, circulates on social networks. It is shameful to any Burundian not blinded by the CNDDFDD system. When we take a step back, we can ask ourselves whether the Burundian president has a language problem, but ‘’le Pere de la Nation’’and  » The Father of the Nation  »; it is a simple English which can be understood by a primary student who begins to learn English. But in the face of this scandal, we cannot even think that President Ndayishimiye does not have a sufficient understanding of what a nation « and  » the father of the nation  ». On another register, we would not be surprised to hear this kind of speech by a president used to saying anything and especially in front of other heads of state. Before the former president Magufuli of Tanzania, he knelt down and called him  » dad  ». There, it was still because if he wants to call him his dad, it’s a personal affair. All the same, it was also shameful to the Burundians who are led by a president who does not know that he represents a state, and that there is no  » small  » state  » in relation to another. John Pompe Magufuli died afterwards; the bad languages say that Yoweri Museveni should be careful, that’s probably his turn.
Let’s go back to the notions of  » nation  » and  » father of the nation  » to prove to Evariste Ndayishimiye that he has fallen so really he has pronounced words of which he understands the true meaning. The simplest definition of  » The nation  » is  » human group quite vast, which is characterized by the consciousness of its unity and the will to live in common  ». If we are limited to this definition, we risk the question of whether Burundi is still  » a nation ‘because the notions’ ‘unity’ ‘and’  » desire to live in common  » are no more there. Since the country is under the yoke of the CNDDFDD, its leaders have only sought to ‘’divide to reign  » as the colonizer did. Which is not a member of the CNDFDD does not have the right on the management of the country, it does not even have the right to speech, why not the right to life because the militia Imbonerakure can stop and kill who it wants to any time and without prosecution. To this notion of  » nation  » are also linked, the notions of people, nation state etc … we do not want to dwell on it. Let’s finish to stop there on the notion of  » nation  », by the constituent factors of the nation, found in an excerpt from the course of moral philosophy of E. Baudin (Paris 1936, 400). They are four: race, language, soil and culture
We know that Evariste Ndayishimiye did not meet the Burundians to ask them if they accept Yoweri Museveni as the father of the Burundian nation. If he claims to represent them, the risk is great to sell the country on their behalf because it is used to saying anything and at any time, provided that the opportunity is offered.
Remember it too is that others hear by  » father of the nation  ».  » The father of the nation means a personality having played a key role in the founding of his country or in the establishment of the political regime of his country  ». It is sometimes referred to as the father of the homeland or founding Father.
In the imitation of the Roman tradition (Pater Patriæ), many personalities, after the classical period, have been designated by the terms « father of the nation » or « father of the homeland ». The term « father of the nation » can indicate as well as a safeguarding role of the latter. In all cases, it refers to a political leader who has become an iconic figure and whose heroism or moral authority make him a source of patriotic inspiration. Its image is often used as a national symbol (currency, stamp, for example)  ».
We read that we designate as « founding fathers of the United States » men who have signed the declaration of independence or the constitution of the United States, and those who participated in the American Revolution, and as « fathers of the Europe »Those who have committed to European construction in the 1945-1957 years. In Afghanistan, Mohammed Zaher Chah last, King of Afghanistan, the title of » father of the nation « was allocated to him in 2004 by Loya Jirga for her 40-year reign remained in the collective memory of Afghans like that of peace and security. In China, Sun Yat-sen, the first president of the Republic of China, he is officially « father of the nation » (國父) in Taiwan and « Father of Modern China » in the People’s Republic of China. In India, Mahatma Gandhi, the Political and Spiritual Leader has been declared « Father of the Nation » by the Indian government. In South Africa, Nelson Mandela, the first black president of the Republic of South Africa, he is elected to the first non-racial elections, from 1994 to 1999. He is the one who ended apartheid in South Africa. It is also Nobel Peace Prize 1935. In Côte d’Ivoire, Félix Houphouët-Boigny, nicknamed the « Father of Independence », « The Old » or « The Sage », he had a leading role in the decolonization of Africa.
These are some examples, taken at random, personalities who are considered fathers of their nations. Where is President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in all these cases to be considered father of the Burundian nation? It is often said that when we talk a lot, the risk of committing errors is great; This time the error is fatal. If they had serious institutions in Burundi, President Ndayishimiye should be explained in front of the authorized bodies who should dismiss him for the inability to lead the country because if he has to continue to represent him, the risk is great to sell it to any one visited. And if he was a man of honour, he should have already resigned his duties.
URN Hitamwoneza has always reminded Burundians that they do not have leaders capable of leading them to lasting peace and a desired social development; Evariste Ndayishimiye seems the worst relative to others. The higher the monkey rises on a tree, the more it shows its … …, everyone can complete the adage. The incapacity of Evariste Ndayishimiye to lead Burundi is being put in broad daylight. A Burundian adage says  » that it is easy to steal a drum, but find where to hide it to beat becomes problematic  ». He managed to cheat the May 2020 elections, but to direct the Burundian people seems to him a heavy burden. Unfortunately, they are innocent Burundians who become victims. To us then to get up as a single man to say no to the incapable because the country has many men and patriotic women and able to lead the Burundi.
